Happy April Fool's Day! 
Mrs. Reap has given us a day off from work!  Un-plug, rest, relax and enjoy. Today's lessons will be extended until tomorrow!





 Remote On Line Learning for 3rd grade

Dear Parents: 

I just like to put together a list of reminders that I hope will help you as you prepare your child to come to school each day.

• TAKE HOME FOLDER – Please check your child’s folder every night for new items coming home. Once we begin taking test you will receive a packet of graded papers for your review and signature to confirm you had a chance to look at them. 
• READING  – Every night your child should be reading something they enjoy.  Have them read to themselves or read to you.  Please read the attached article at the bottom of the page which really sums up why this is such an important practice.
• LUNCH MONEY – Please put it in an envelope with your child’s name; 3rd grade marked Lunch Money.  (I don’t keep track of the money but I do hand it in each day to the cafeteria and they keep the records.)
• LUNCH PRIVILEGE:   On Fridays I will allow children to buy snacks during lunch so it’s up to you if you want to send them in with money. Please keep it under $5.00.
• Gym Day for 3A is on MONDAY  So every MONDAY (unless you hear otherwise) you can sent your child into school with their gym uniform/sneakers on.
• Snack – We have a small healthy snack in third grade so please send something nutritional in with your child to eat. During the hot days you may send your child in with water.  I prefer WATER to juice, since a juice spill can be messy and sticky.
• DISMISSAL – If your child usually takes a bus and there is a time when he or she is being picked up please send in a hand written note so I can remind them to go in the car line.  I like to have something written from you to verify this change.  You can call the office to let them know the change if it is an unexpected change.
• Please be ON TIME.
• Birthdays:  If you wish to bring in a snack and juice boxes for your child’s birthday that is fine.  We have 26 students in the class (17 boys; 9 girls).  Please just let me know ahead of time So I am prepared and allow time during the day.
• Homework – The homework given should not take your child more than 30 minutes.  If you find that they are having difficulties please let me know right away.  
• FRIDAY'S - Normally we will have the following tests on Fridays:  Spelling/ Vocabulary and a Reading Comprehension Test
• Spelling/Vocabulary Words:  will be giving to students on Friday's for the week ahead; there will also be a link on this website if they forget them.
