Welcome! My name is Ms. Jenkins. I am a former Trenton Catholic Academy graduate from both the Lower School and Upper School. I graduated from Cabrini University and studied Middle Level Education with a concentration in English.

I am going to be teaching 7th and 8th grade ILA, and 8A Religion. I am looking forward to an exciting and challenging year!

ELA encompasses many different topics such as: grammar, vocabulary, figurative language, reading comprehension in short stories and novels, and poetry. The two novels that middle school will be reading are the following: 7th grade- The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton; 8th grade- The Giver by Lois Lowry.

As a former TCA graduate, I am glad to be back "home" where I can inspire students to believe, dream, and succeed!

Hello Parents! Introducing ReadWorks Reading Assignments. 

The 7th and 8th graders will be working once a week on reading comprehension and vocabulary using the website called ReadWorks. Every Friday, they will be reading different stories or articles from different genres that are both informative and educational to boost their reading comprehension. Each story comes with a question set and a vocabulary set that they will respond to when they are done reading the stories/articles. All stories and articles will be posted to their Google Classroom as well. 

If students do not complete the assignments in class, they have until March 13th (a week from the assignment date) to submit the assignments.

Reading Comprehension Day: March 16th, 2020:

• Read: Sir Issac Newton and LeBron James, Water: A Give and Take, and Sacagawea and asnwer the questions that go with them.
• Due on Friday, March 13th

8th Grade Read Works Assignments:
