To make your family’s experience with TCA the best it can be, every year all students receive a copy of the Student Handbook (pdf). The handbook clearly states all policies, procedures, and expectations placed upon students.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Diocese of Trenton has issued a revised policy on Social Networking (pdf). Please read it carefully as it is now part of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) that is currently in place, which outlines the use of technology by students while at TCA. All students and their parents/guardians are required to read and sign the contract attached to the policy. Parents/guardians who do not agree to the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) should contact the Administration as soon as possible. The AUP is designed to protect and insure the safety of all technology users at TCA.
To improve communication, TCA has implemented a telephone broadcast system that will notify all households and parents by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start. The service, SchoolMessenger, may also be used from time-to-time to communicate general announcements or reminders. TCA will also continue to report weather-related closings on our website and the local radio and television stations listed there.
When used, the service calls all phone numbers in our selected parent contact lists and will deliver a recorded message from a school administrator. The service will deliver the message to both live answer and answering machines. No answers (phones ringing over 40 sec.) and busies will be automatically retried twice in fifteen minute intervals after the initial call.
To make SchoolMessenger Instant Parent Contact system work effectively, we ask that you fill out the School Messenger form and return it to the main office. See the School Messenger page for details on how to update your contact information.
The Trenton Catholic Academy PTA and Fathers’ Club span the entire school, and help to promote voluntary fundraisers and other fun events to advance the school’s mission. Contact Rose O'Connor (email@example.com) to become involved in the PTA and Rich Lucash regarding the Father’s Club.
